Google Drive is getting the new Material Theme makeover for web and it is clean and refreshing.
Google is currently refreshing their apps with a cleaner UI called Material Theme. Material Theme is based on Material Design and is often referred to as Material Design 2.0.
Without anymore stalling, let us take a look at the new Google Drive:

I personally find the Material Theme makeover to be a fantastic addition to Google Drive. It looks stunning and makes Google Drive much nicer to use. I'm sure we will see a dark mode as well too.
